Here are some of our favourite things to do in Bridlington:
Bridlington harbour
Situated in the heart of Bridlington lies its magnificent bustling harbour – a living reminder of the town’s rich fishing heritage. It’s the perfect place to marvel at the panoramic views out to sea and treat yourself to traditional seaside fish and chips!
You’ll never go hungry in Bridlington
Alongside all the traditional British seaside favourites – fish & chips, ice cream, candy floss and waffles, the town offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes and tearooms, and as you’d expect in a town renowned for its busy fishing industry, fresh seafood is never far from the menu during our day trip to Bridlington. Bridlington is the lobster capital of Europe, landing 300-tonnes each year and these delicious Yorkshire delicacies are enjoyed as far afield as the Azores! No need to travel that far to try them though, you’ll find Bridlington Bay Lobster taking pride of place in many of Bridlington’s restaurants.
Bridlington Old Town
Bridlington’s Old Town offers another side to the seaside. Your journey through its quaint, pretty streets is entirely your own unique tale and there are some fabulous events held every year to enjoy too! Explore the Georgian High Street with its vintage galleries and quirky independent shops and boutiques. Whether you’re searching for bespoke jewellery, beautifully crafted ceramics, or anything in-between, you’re sure to pick up something special here.
